Chester Students’ Union creates campaigns with the aim of making your student experience better. All campaigns start with a passion or idea, with a goal of creating a positive change.

Anyone can lead on a campaign – an Officer or a student – so you can always make a difference at CSU, no matter who you are!

Start a Campaign

Want to lead on a campaign? Brilliant! We can’t wait to hear all about it. To get started, all you need to do is fill in this easy Campaign Idea form. It’ll cover the basics, and then you’ll meet with our Democracy & Campaigns Coordinator to talk about the details.

We’d recommend reading our comprehensive Campaigns Toolkit to get the best idea about what a campaign is (and isn’t!). It’ll have ALL the info you could possibly need.

Once you’ve done that, you can download the Campaigns Planning document and start bringing your idea to life. We can work through this together when you meet with CSU, or you can get your campaign team involved! (see the Campaign resources section for all the files).

Other ways to make change

If you’re not ready to lead on a campaign, you could make change at your University by submitting a suggestion for change, or you can start a petition and get students’ signatures.

You could also speak to a Student Leader – a full-time Officer, Union Assembly Officer, or a Student Voice Representative, who can relay your feedback to us.
