If you want to start a petition for students to sign, this is the place to be.

Petitions can be part of a wider campaign for change, or be used as a tool to take to someone in power to show that lots of people agree on a certain standpoint.

Start a Petition

All you need to do is fill in this super quick form with your petition idea. We’ll then check the details with you and publish it on this page (see all the active petitions below!). You can then link the petition to your friends, classmates and other students at the University of Chester and gather signatures.

Your petition is yours, which means it’s up to you to decide what you’d like to do with the signatures you get. You can chat to us about petitions by emailing studentvoice@chester.ac.uk.

Other ways to make change

If there’s something that you want CSU to do for students, or there’s something you think the Officers should be working on, you can submit suggestions to our Change It platform. You can also contact your Elected Officer team directly, or talk to your Union Assembly.

The small print: In order for your petition to be published, your petition must be relevant to student life at the University of Chester, and must abide by our Policies. Signature counts are updated weekly, so may not be entirely accurate on the website. Petitions are kept on the website until the author takes action or the academic year ends.
